Welcome to

Iglesia VIDA (LIFE Church)

Iglesia VIDA is a Spanish church locaed in its new facilities at 211 Waldo Street Metairie, LA  70003.  As well as having involvement with Victory Fellowships outreaches and specific Spanish outreaches. Iglesia Vida is composed of a variety of people from different Hispanic countries, united with the purpose of exalting our Lord Jesus Christ, and to bring the loving message of the Gospel to our beloved community. Iglesia Vida ministers to the community throughout a variety of outreaches and ministries. We believe that there is a place for everyone in God’s Kingdom; our desire is that everyone would find their place in the wonderful family of God.  In 2003 Iglesia VIDA started a Sunday church service in the Life Center gym of Victory Fellowship. This allowed us to grow and form a full functioning Spanish church complete with discipleship group, church leadership, small home groups, worship ministries, children’s church, ESL classes, men’s, women and youth ministries.  In October 2005, post Katrina, we moved the Iglesia Vida to Victory Fellowship’s, newly acquire facility in the heart of New Orleans (Broad St. Mission in Mid City).  On May 14th 2006 (Mother’s day) we moved the Spanish church with about 40 members. This was the start of a new season for the Spanish church with an opportunity of reaching out to the immense influx of Hispanics that came to work in the recovery of our city. We have also assisted with the assemblies of God to open other new Spanish churches in the New Orleans area.

Youth for Christ

Read 1 Chronicles 24:1 through 26:32

Young and old alike, teacher as well as student, cast lots for their duties (1 Chronicles 25:8).

This section chronicles the assigning of musicians for ministry in the house of the Lord. The musicians drew lots for their duties. Each person had an equal chance to serve. Submitted to their fathers’ supervision, even the young people were skilled, willing, and capable of ministering in music wherever the lots cast them—wherever the Lord led them.

The past decade has seen an insurgence of young people in the Church who are eager to take up their crosses and follow Jesus. They don’t worry about money or planning a secure future; they have placed their trust fully in Christ for their guidance and security. They are sold out to Jesus and making a difference in the Kingdom. They are more serious and outspoken than their parents. There seems to be urgency about them—their hearts are on fire. God seems to have cast lots among them and has assigned them to Kingdom work.

Challenge for Today: Pray for and encourage the young people you know. Believe in and support their callings.

Quicklook: 1 Chronicles 25:1–8
